Send a note out to Slack or Notion and it doesn't leave. It stays here, as the version you both keep working on, and it's still findable in six months.
Ask Pip for a section and he writes it straight into the note, rather than handing you a wall of text in the chat to copy out yourself. Open the side chat and he edits whatever you've got in front of you, in place.
Reading along as you write, he'll drop a question in the margin to sharpen the thinking, without ever taking it over.

Draft something in a note, open a chat about it, wander off for lunch, then come back and say "carry on with that." Pip knows what that is.
Scribble "buy bread" at the bottom of a strategy note and he won't think you've switched to groceries. And if he's lost the thread after a while away, he'll tell you what he thinks you were doing rather than guess and sound certain about it.

A folder keeps a running sense of how its notes and canvases relate, so Pip can reason about one thing using what he's picked up from the rest.
Ask for a report and you get a file, an HTML page or a chart or a diagram, built and rendered from your own disk. None of it is uploaded anywhere to be looked at.
When Claude writes into your workspace, Pip treats it like your own work, shared and carried forward rather than stranded in a chat session somewhere.
Pull in a Granola transcript, a Slack thread or an email when you need it, then push the finished thing back out when it's ready. Nothing sits in the background watching your accounts.

Connect one key through OpenRouter, or run a local model that never leaves your Mac. If the model you've picked can't handle a particular turn, Pip tells you and offers one of your others that can, instead of switching behind your back.
03 / no surprises
When Pip learns something about how you work, he shows you the change and waits for you to approve it. He never edits himself behind your back.
